The Nurmahal was sunk by torpedo 200 miles north east of Barbados en route to New York via Trinidad, 11th of November 1942, by U-Boat 154. [KK Heinrich Schuch]

Fourth Sailing - active patrol
U-154 left Lorient under the command of Heinrich Schuch on 12th Oct 1942 and returned twelve and a half weeks later to Lorient on 7th Jan 1943. Heinrich Schuch hit three ships on this patrol. On 8th Nov 1942 he sank the British 7,291 ton D´Entrecasteaux. On 9th Nov 1942 he sank the British 5,419 ton Nurmahal. On 18th Nov 1942 he sank the British 5,226 ton Tower Grange.
